An introduction

I have decided to write a commentary on my life as a user of the services of escorts and sex workers. I am not embarrassed by this confession, and I believe many of my colleagues and friends know that I do this. In fact to some extent one of my colleagues at work started me off by introducing me to a web site called punternet. This is an escort review site, which I studied before ever seeing my first escort. Most people I have talked with in my life about prostitution see nothing wrong with it. The only male I met who was against it is now paying a very heavy price for a failed marriage when he went off with another women. There is a moral in that tale somewhere.

I will not deny there are problems in certain areas of prostitution. Street work, drugs and trafficking are high on the list of problems. Street work unfortunately is the face of prostitution which is always mentioned in the papers, but it is a minority of prostitution, less than 15%. I am in total agreement that it is unacceptable, and those working in it should be helped out by looking at the causes, normally drug addiction. Trafficking is also another bad aspect of prostitution, it does happen, but I do believe the numbers who are coerced into the industry are exaggerated. Many high profile police clamp downs in Great Britain end up with very few women identified as trafficked and coerced.

I have been using the services of sex workers now for several years. I started off when a new job caused me to travel away from home. I found the easy availability of brothels (saunas) in a city like Edinburgh too much of a draw. Finally my will broke and I visited one of these establishments. It was a revelation to me and I have not looked back since.

I became so involved with sex workers, that I began to work for them, using my skills as a programmer and a web designer. My first project for them was the creation of an escort directory which I market under the name of selectanescort. The directory has been running now for almost 4 years. The escort has control over the directory adding and deleting it when they want It is a fully flexible and searchable directory. I admit I use it myself and have visited several of the independent escorts who advertise in its pages.
