I suggest you do a FOI for records and notes relating to the State of Illinois, and British male teaches & schoolgirls which were addressed to Jacqui Smith MP when she was schools minister. From lIllinois as it would be.

Just one US state wondering what on earth was going on in British schools and why the Brits simply couldn’t arrest a few teachers to sort out a global sex grooming epidemic.

However, the summary of the comments to the Blog items, both at LC & Shiraz; apart from Gregory Carlin/Sudeten/Yvette Doll’s nonsensical contributions, is that, as usual, anyone who attempts to disagree with the abolitionist stance is automatically assigned a label that is laden with emotive images, in an attempt to discredit them in the eyes of other readers (BTW, Bindel did contribute a comment to one of the many blogs, which consisted of accusing a sex worker’s rights campaigner of being a pimp. About sums up her debating style.)

Likewise, organisations which campaign for sex worrker’s rights, academics & ouitreach programs (such as UKNSWP) must be discredited by the abolitionists; Bindel has gone so far as to claim that ECP are a bunch of “mad Trots” acting as a “front for the CIA”, which is sort of contradictory, as these are the very people most liekly to bring the lies that are being used to promote Jacqui Smith’s proposed legislation to the notice of the media &, thereby, a wider audience.

Such attacks also have the benefit, for them, of diverting attention from those issues that might just prove to bee too awkward for them to discuss; similar to the way that discussions of how the provision of safe working conditions & employment rights to sex workers should be the priority are always diverted into a debate about how this would normalise the industry; much use of the “Ick Factor” being employed in the process – i.e. “Would you allow your son or daughter to do this?”

The main problem is that we are dealing with blinkered ideologues who are quite unwilling to allow facts to get in the way of their self-appointed missions to think for others & save them, whether they want saving or not.
